Tony Alfano, the author of the course, is a 35 year veteran of playing the guitar. He is a professional guitar player who make s his living as a musician; It is not his side job. Tony currently plays with the nations premiere nostalgic rock band, Phil Dirt and the Dozers. Tony has personally played with The Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, Billy Swan, JJ Jackson, The Temptations, Danny and The Juniors, and Chuck Berry. In his capacity with the Dozers, he has opened for dozens of well known groups including: Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Mary Wilson (of the Supremes), Little Anthony and the Imperials, Louis Mandrel, The Everly Brothers, Gary Puckett, Grand Funk, The Dooby Brothers, Little Richard, The Pointer Sisters, The Coasters, and many, many more.

Tony’s idea for the course, comes from the popular Karaoke approach to singing. The idea was to provide people with a play along course, where guitarists could listen to a riff, solo, or lead, see the tablature for it, and then play along. Recognizing that the getting up to the correct speed could be a real difficulty, Tony came up with a way to slow the solo of riffdown, while keeping it in the same key - No small accomplishment. Tony personally recorded all of the solos and licks in the course on his authentic Gibson and Fender guitars.
